Is your number up?
Neighbourhood Watch Tasmania has urged home-owners and businesses to display their house numbers so they can be easily read from the street.
Neighbourhood Watch Tasmania State President, Jan Dunsby, says that having house or business numbers clearly displayed can save valuable time in an emergency. “ Most local councils require property owners to display their house numbers. Properly displayed house numbers help the emergency services – Police, Fire and Ambulance – to find a home or business quickly in an emergency. A couple of minutes can make the difference between life and death in a medical emergency or fire situation,” Ms Dunsby said.
