We are proud of our national partnership with Bunnings to host The Week from 6 – 12 November 23. Across Tasmania there will be NHW Information Stands; Raffles; Cuppa with a Cop (CWACs) and Barbecues at Bunnings Warehouses in Tasmania. See our State Facebook Page for more details https://www.facebook.com/NHWTas/.
In partnership with the Hobart City Council and Tasmania Police, NHW will host a CWAC in Wellington Walk at 11am on Wednesday, 6 December 23. This may well be our biggest CWAC for the year and everybody is invited.
Congratulations to our Clarence Plains Cluster of NHW Coordinators who have been recognised in the Community Awards for 2023. We are proud of our Coordinators, Tina Brown in Rokeby/Clarendon Vale; Stephen Bourke in Howrah Gardens/Glebe Hill; and Leo Watkins in Oakdowns who will be recognised for their community contributions to safety and wellbeing. NHW continues to kick goals across the state!
Jo Saunderson has taken on the role of coordinator for the recently established Perth NHW. A highlight of their launch was a Scone Time event in conjunction with a Get Online Week presentation. Well done Jo – off to a great start!
Neighbourhood Watch in Port Sorell is now up and running with Graeme Foulis taking on the coordinator role. Contact details are here.
Congratulations to Stephen Giles who has been elected to the State Board. Also thank you and farewell to Kelsey Timms who has stood down after two years’ service as a member of the Board.
The two other highlight of our Awards Ceremony were the recognition of our NHW Award Recipients and the attendance of our Calendar Drawing Competition winners and their families. We had 100 people in attendance to share in the recognition of our winners and the launch of our 2024 calendar. Check with your coordinator to get your copy along with the latest copy of the NHWA Journal.
