Help us celebrate outstanding community policing by nominating a dedicated officer for the Keith Smith Community Policing Award. If you know a police officer who goes above and beyond to build trust, foster safety, and strengthen local connections, now’s the time to recognise their impact and honour the qualities of Keith Smith.

The drawings for the 2026 Neighbourhood Watch Calendar Drawing Competition have been judged and the winners have been notified. We are very grateful for all the children who put so much effort into their drawings to enter the competition.
Twelve primary school children have been invited to attend our AGM, and Awards and Prize Giving ceremony at the Country Club in Prospect on Saturday, 18 October 25. The presentations commence at 10.30am sharp so all members and guests are encouraged to arrive well before that time so that they can find a park and then find a seat in the Tonic Bar.
Based on feedback from previous events, this year the morning tea will immediately follow the presentations. This will leave the AGM to be conducted at the close of play to facilitate agenda proceedings that are relevant and preferably succinct.
The Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) Annual Awards will be held in conjunction with the prize-giving ceremony for the winners of the calendar competition. The Award recipients will be announced in the October Bulletin which will be published for distribution by 1 October 25. Every NHW member is entitled and encouraged to attend these presentations which will be immediately followed by the AGM.
Come along to support our stalwarts who deserve recognition, as well as the families of our Calendar Drawing winners. Get to the Country Club well before 10.30am and get your 2026 Calendar, hot off the press!
Nine Neighbourhood Watch groups from around the state are hosting Get Online Week events to help more mature Tasmanians increase confidence with being online. Each event will have an interesting presenter and there will be prizes and refreshments in a relaxed adult learning environment. Come along – if you want to learn just one thing – you will.
Coordinators for the following Watches can provide more information, which will also be on their Facebook sites or in the upcoming October 2025 Bulletin. Encourage people you know to go along and make the presentation a success.
