MAKE 2024 A ‘D O T’ (DO ONE THING) YEAR!

Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) people want to help their community. In 2024, all our members and friends are asked to at least DOT for their neighbourhood. If we all D O T we become a mass of fixers! Each month we suggest things to make your neighbourhood a nicer place. Tell us about your D O T to admin@nhwtas.org.au and be in the running for a great prize!

MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) RE-COMMITTED FOR THREE YEARS

Our MOU with Tasmania Police was re-signed on 29 November 23 by Commissioner Donna Adams. This document reaffirms NHW as a partner of Tasmania Police and authorises our access to official crime reports and prevention information to share with our communities. Having accurate data improves our ability to secure and protect our properties against crime.

TASMANIA POLICE COMMUNITY SURVEY

In November 23 Tasmania Police launched an online survey to learn the policing issues that matter most to the Tasmanian community. NHW was asked to encourage people across the state to complete the survey. When the results are received, they will be shared with you.

However, in the interim we can take pride in the compliments received from Commissioner Adams who said, Your role in sharing the survey and promotional materials has been an invaluable part of this success and no doubt provided a boost in participation numbers.
